What would the founding fathers have to say about the current state of the union?
I can tell you exactly because I was there in the beginning. [1] There are alarming parallels between the tyrannical colonization of 18th century America by England and the radical left-wing takeover of the Democrat Party today pushing a socialist agenda.
I published a pamphlet in 1776 that I called Common Sense, and inspired the American Revolution. I see and hear of similar sentiments these days, and there are millions of Americans who would not hesitate to defend American values and ideals against tyranny.
I’ll remind them that we set up a system that provides for the airing of grievances (the 1st Amendment) and a way to remove elected officials from office if their performance is not satisfactory, by voting them out, or by impeachment. I will always advocate exhausting legal means over armed conflict.
The very idea of America was to create a nation based on the natural rights of man, human freedoms, individual liberties, and a government selected by the people, mandated to protect its citizens, not only from foreign threat, but from government itself.
From The Declaration of Independence, heed these words of wisdom: “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it . . . when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” [2]
Our country is being driven towards Marxist socialism by factions and forces that have hijacked the Democrat Party, a.k.a. the DNC. Their primary objective is to “fundamentally transform” America into a socialist state. The “long train of abuses and usurpations” feared by the founders has been implemented by those socialist factions. It is upon us as patriots to recognize what has happened in America these past few years and correct the course we are on by removing them from power. It is not our aim to overthrow the government, we aim to restore it.
We are no longer the United States of America. we are now the Divided States of America, not by circumstance, but by design. [3] At no time since the Civil War, has America been so divided as we are right now.
Patriots would rather unite as fellow countrymen, support our communities, homogeneous or diverse, respect our neighbors and their rights, and strive to improve the lives of future generations. Stand with me as a true American Patriot. Speak without fear. It is our duty to fight the anti-American forces that hold the reigns of power, not by canon fire, but by winning hearts and minds. The founders, and all patriots who have fought so hard to preserve their vision, had better ideas than those who wish to change the entire country. This is an ideological war that we must win to save America.
